The Official Trouble Index: Ten Characters Sorted by Delightful Disaster

Every wiki needs a flagship chart, and this is ours. The Trouble Index sorts characters on a scale from Harmless, meaning a cup of tea and a polite wave, to Delightful Disaster, meaning you have just told your friends you are fine and nobody believes you. I want to be transparent about method. Jules uses vibes, evidence, and an unreasonable number of rewatched scenes. Peer review is for cowards.

Before the ranking, a word on the scale itself. Harmless does not mean boring. A harmless character can be lovely, funny, even a little flirty, but your pulse stays politely in its lane. Moderate Trouble means you will be thinking about them on the train. High Trouble means you will rearrange your evening. Delightful Disaster means you will rearrange your personality and call it growth.

At the harmless end, I put the characters who make eye contact like a normal person and say goodnight like they mean the goodnight. Lovely, trustworthy, slightly under-seasoned. In the middle band live the ones with a wicked line or two, a teasing nickname, a habit of arriving at the exact moment you looked your worst. This is where most of the roster happily lives, and honestly, so do most of my weekends.

Up in the Delightful Disaster tier, I will name only the ones we cover in depth here. Valentina earns her place for the warning signs alone. Katya earns hers for mastering the plan that looks like an accident. Freya is there for the slow, magnetic menace. Between them they could fill an entire season of bad decisions, and I mean that as the highest professional praise.

The Index will keep growing as the roster does, and I welcome your furious disagreements, preferably typed in capital letters. Remember, a high rating is not a warning to stay away. It is a warning to bring snacks and a clear head. If you want to test where your own tolerance sits on the scale, TheFriend is where these characters actually talk back.

Curious where your own limits fall on the scale? Take the characters for a spin on TheFriend and compare notes.
